DAY TO DAY SAFARI PROGRAM

5 days Eastern Special Tour is 5 days / 4 nights Uganda tour offering great adventure of  Jinja City, Mbale City and Elgon region, the major attraction here are; Sipi falls, Mountain Elgon, Source of the Nile River, Itanda Falls, Bujagali Falls and White water rafting. A visit to the source of the Nile River, where the world’s longest river starts from. The only place with white water rafting in Uganda and possibly the most exciting in Africa. Jinja city is located in the esatern part of Uganda just around 85km from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. It’s Uganda’s leading industrial city after Kampala.

 Day 1: Transfer to Mount Elgon enroute Mabira forest and Jinja City

Day 2: Hiking Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls

Day 3: Drive back to Jinja City and visit Source of the Nile River

Day 4: Do the major activities, rafting, Bungee and Night Jinja city tour

Day 5: Optional activities and Drive back to Kampala.

5 Days Eastern Special Tour in Details.

Day 1: Transfer to Mount Elgon, a stop over in Mabira Forest en route.

After breakfast at around 6.00 am we embark on our safari drive to Elgon Region. En route we shall have a stopover at Mabira forest for a brief nature walk through the forest in search for monkeys, beautiful birds of the air and anumber of tree species and flowers. Thereafter, we continue on our journey throught the sugarcane and tea plantations, Jinja City and arrive Mbale city in the afternoon for lunch and brief resting. We drive through Mbale city to explore one of Uganda’s oldest cities and thereafter proceed to Mount Elgon for dinner, refreshment and overnight.

Day 2: Hiking Mount Elgon, Sipi Falls

After breakfast with our packed lunch, we head to explore the mighty Sipi Falls which is a set of 3 falls; there are caves behind the main falls.  Be on the look for lots of birds to discover as you climb all the way to the top of the falls. The views are breathtaking; the hike takes about 2½ hours. A lot of beautiful birds of the air like; Tacazze, Sunbirds, Montane Oriole, Mountain Greenbull, Trogon, Turacos and Hornbill birds as many are in the area.

After the fall, we continue on hiking and birding on Mount Elgon.  We take a short drive to the Mount Elgon Exploration Center we take a day trail montane and bamboo forests, there are splendid views of Mount Elgon and the valleys below.  Fields of wildflowers, butterflies, and many birds.

We shall have a resting point to have our packed lunch along the way as the hiking continues to Kapwata trail. We later slop down to our starting point and drive back the hotel for Diner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Jinja City and visit source of the Nile River

After breakfast we head back to Jinja City where we shall visit the source of the Nile river. We shall have a boat cruise here to the Nile source spot, visit to Jinja Sailing club, Dinner and overnight

Day 4: White water rafting, visit to itanda and bujagali falls.

 After morning breakfast (8:00 am) we head to Bujagali and itanda falls for sight viewing and white water rafting, horseback riding, and quad biking. We then head for another exciting activity that is bungee jumping Retire for relaxation and eveving nature walk, dinner and overnight

Day 5: Boat Cruise, optional activities and Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe airport

After breakfast we head to Jinja Sailing club for an exciting boat cruise on Lake victoria. We shall take on any other optional activity(visit to samuka island, zip lining, kayaka) and later drive back to kampala.
